November 3, 2010 · Updated 10:18 AM
The Bear Creek School girls' soccer team ended its Sea-Tac 2B league season in style with a 1-0 shutout win over Evergreen Lutheran on Monday night.
The game was all defense, as the score was knotted 0-0 until the closing minutes, when Ashley Pittman finally broke through with a score off Halle Coleman's assist with less than three minutes to play in the game.
Kristina Englestone and Kendall Wyman combined for the shutout.
With the win, the Grizzlies improved to 9-1-0 in league play and 9-4-3 overall, and will play in the 1B/2B Tri-District semifinals against a team to be determined on Thursday night at 8 p.m. at Sammamish High School.
Win or lose, the Grizzlies are guaranteed a spot in the 2B state tournament later this month.
