Overlake girls win, advance to state quarterfinals

The Overlake School girls' soccer team advanced to the Class 1A state quarterfinals with a 1-0 victory over Ridgefield on Tuesday night at Kalama High School.

The game was scoreless through the first half, until Quinn Phillips broke through the Spudder defense on Adrianna Gildner's assist in the 55th minute for the game's lone goal.

Zoe Pinczower earned the shutout, her seventh on the year.

Overlake (15-4-2) will move on to play reigning state champion Seattle Academy on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Sammamish High School in Bellevue.
