Orting eliminated the Overlake-Bear Creek baseball team from the Tri-District tournament with an 8-6 comeback win Saturday at Sehome High School.

The Growls took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning on the third hit of game from freshman first baseman Peter Perkins, but Orting stormed back with four runs in the top of the seventh to secure the win.

The Owls finished the season with an 11-6 record.

Despite the disappointing end to the season, Growls coach Mike Davidson said he was proud of his team.

"We won the Emerald City League title and got to take a once-in-lifetime trip to the Dominican Republic as a team," Davidson said. "I will look back on this season with lots of fond memories."
