It's on to state again — for the 12th consecutive season — for the Redmond High girls cross-country team.

Last Saturday, the lady Mustangs placed fourth at the 4A district meet at Lakewood High to qualify for state this Saturday at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco. The Redmond boys took seventh at districts and didn't qualify for state.

For the girls, Kelsey Dunn was tops for Redmond with a seventh-place finish on the 3.1-mile course in 19 minutes, six seconds. Other Mustang runners were Lila Rice, Megan LeGresley, Mandy Rusch, Claira Young, Nandita Gilroy and Kate Wagner.

In the girls team standings, Roosevelt was first (112 points), followed by Snohomish (113), Henry Jackson (124) and Redmond (134).

In the boys team standings, Kamiak was first (110), followed by Henry Jackson (136), Eastlake (139), Garfield (140), Lake Stevens (175), Bothell (186) and Redmond (187).

Sixteen teams competed in both the boys and girls competitions.

Harry Engel was Redmond's top finisher on the boys' side in 16:43.
