Overlake's Risa, Reynolds qualify for 1A state cross-country meet

Overlake's Erik Risa and Dylan Reynolds qualified for this Saturday's 1A state cross-country championships by finishing 20th and 21st, respectively, at last Saturday's tri-district meet at American Lake Golf Course in Lakewood.

Risa finished the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes, 23.8 seconds, while Reynolds notched a mark of 17 minutes, 28.0 seconds.

The Owls took sixth place in the team standings, one spot away from going to state. Twenty-one teams participated in the meet.

State will be at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.
