Erik Richardson

Bear Creek

• Sport: Track & Field

• Year in school: Junior

• Favorite class: Biology

• Accomplishments: Richardson had two personal bests at the prestigious 15-team Tomahawk Invite, in addition to winning two golds at a SeaTac league meet. At the league meet on April 24, Richardson won the shot put with a throw of 42-feet, 1.5 inches and the discus at 119-11. He then beat both of those on April 26, getting eighth at the Tomahawk Invite with a throw of 42-4 in the shot put and third with a throw of 132-1 in the discus. The discus throw was a major break through, with 124 feet being his previous best mark.

• What is your dream profession?: Ski resort management or product development because it is my passion and I would like to spend my life promoting it.

• Did you Know: Richardson has finished in the top 15 in the state in a throwing event each of the past two seasons. He is also on the Stevens Pass Free Ride team.

Amy Sturdivant

Redmond

• Sport: Track & Field

• Year in school: Junior

• Favorite class: English

• Accomplishments: Sturdivant won two golds at the tri-Kingco meet on April 24. She tied a career high by clearing 9 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault, besting all Woodinville and Bothell competitors. She did likewise in the 100-meter high hurdles, finishing in 17.24 seconds.

• What is your dream profession?: Starting a philanthropic organization in Africa.

• Did you Know: Sturdivant is active with the Overlake Christian Church and service projects around the community. Most recently, she helped flood relief in Chehalis and raised money to send a boy with cancer to Disneyland.
