Redmond West Little League’s Juniors Red Sox won the District 9 regular season championship with a two-out, come-from-behind 9-8 win against league-leading Issaquah in the bottom half of the seventh inning on June 9 at Hartman Park.
Local rowers shine at Brown University
Redmond’s Isabel Runge and Sasha Tilles, Overlake School graduates, were in the Brown University II varsity eight boat that took bronze at the Division I NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., on June 2.
They are freshmen at Brown and former crew members of the Sammamish Rowing Association in Redmond.
