Redmond’s Fujisaki wins 400 meters at district, qualifies for state with other Stangs

Redmond will send 11 athletes to the 3A state track and field championships this weekend at Mount Tahoma High in Tacoma.

Tessa Fujisaki won the 400 meters in 59.09 seconds last weekend at the district meet at the Southwest Athletic Complex in Seattle. She also qualifies for state in the 200 meters.

Other Redmond qualifiers are: Claire Johnson (100-meter hurdles), Kaitlyn Hartman (discus), George Cretu (3,200 meters), Ben Nachmanson (long jump), Ben Maier (discus), Jack Ellis (javelin) and the 4×400-meter relay team of Carson Lui, Asres Morris, Kyle Nickum and Zeyan Butt.
