Redmond’s Dereje Himbago inches past Mount Si’s Paul Talens to win the junior boys two-mile race at the KingCo Jamboree on Sept. 11 at Lake Sammamish State Park. Himbago ran the race in 9:41.20 and Talens notched a time of 9:41.30. Himbago finished first overall in the combined four boys classes. Mustangs Cooper Arons won the boys senior race in 9:44.0 and Sophia Dahl won the girls freshman race in 11:33.70.
