Lineup set for the Concerts at Marymoor series

Whether it’s an alt-Country festival, a trip back to the second wave of the British Invasion, or a night with one of the most successful Northwest bands in recent years, the 2009 Concerts at Marymoor series is offering a diverse and eclectic line-up for its sixth season.
Tickets are available online and from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Marymoor Park business office.
“The Marymoor amphitheatre is recognized as a top-notch concert venue, with an intimate and comfortable layout, excellent food and beverage vendors and parking that’s close and affordable,” said King County Parks Director Kevin Brown.
Here’s the current line-up:
• June 27 – Keb’ Mo’ with special guest Ryan Shaw
• July 5 – Duran Duran
• July 11 – The No Depression Festival, featuring Gillian Welch, Iron & Wine, Patterson Hood & the Screwtopians, Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, a Seattle roots-music all-star revue and Zee Avi.
• July 16 – Counting Crows with special guests Augustana
• July 17 – The Decemberists with special guests Andrew Bird and Blind Pilot
• July 18 & 19 – Death Cab for Cutie with special guests The New Pornographers and Ra Ra Riot
• Aug. 21 – Flaming Lips with special guests
• Aug. 22 – ZOK Stock 2009, featuring Foreigner and more
• Aug. 27 – The Pretenders with special guests Cat Power and Juliette Lewis
• Sept. 17 – Flogging Molly with special guests
Located on the great lawn next to the historic Clise Mansion, Marymoor’s state-of-the-art venue offers outstanding staging, production and acoustics in a gorgeous and intimate park setting. The picturesque venue has space for 1,000 reserved seats and 4,000 general admission lawn tickets, many of them elevated on an earthen berm.
