Peter Morris, of Redmond, will be among 350 of the best “run and gun” shooters in the country when they head to Covington, Ga. from April 16-18 to compete for the regional titles in the 2010 U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s Area 6 Handgun Championship.

The sport of Practical Shooting is a dynamic, action-oriented competitive shooting discipline incorporating skill, precision and speed shooting, all while on the move.

During the match, competitors will navigate a series of obstacles laid out over 12 stages, designed to simulate potential real-world scenarios. Shooters are scored on both speed and accuracy.

Shooters from 27 states will participate in the event.
