‘Sense and Sensibility’ coming to The Bear Creek School

The Bear Creek School presents its production of Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility” at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, May 21; and 7 p.m. Saturday, May 22.

All performances are open to the public. Tickets ($5 individual or $10 family) may be purchased at the door of The Bear Creek School’s Cornerstone Theater, 8905 208th Ave NE, Redmond. For information, call (425) 898-1720 or visit www.tbcs.org.

“Sense and Sensibility” is a romantic escapade from the Regency period. It is the story of two sisters, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, who search for true love and lasting happiness among a trio of suitors: Edward Ferrars, Colonel Brandon and John Willoughby.

Status, wealth and arrogance are pitted against virtue, honor and compassion.

The production is directed by Dr. Ron Lynch. Characters from “Sense and Sensibility” are portrayed by the following Bear Creek students:

• Mildred Dashwood: Ashley Meissner, senior from Woodinville

• Fanny Dashwood: Tajel Mehta, senior from Redmond

• Elinor Dashwood: Hanna Anderson, sophomore from Issaquah

• Marianne Dashwood: Erica Leuenberger, junior from Redmond

• Edward Ferrars: Jake Casale, freshman from Redmond

• Sir John Middleton: Cole Probus, senior from Sammamish

• Colonel Brandon: Jordon Domingo, senior from Redmond

• John Willoughby: Gannon McCahill, junior from Woodinville
