Thanks Ben Franklin

I am writing in response to Lana Kogan’s May 13 letter to the Redmond Reporter, where she bashes Ben Franklin for their merchandising.

I find it ridiculous to blame a store for a child’s undesirable behavior and to make a claim that it is a moral issue on the placement of items in the store.

I have three very young children and find the Ben Franklin store delightful, along with the staff being very friendly and engaging with my children.  We love visiting Ben Franklin, perusing the aisles and stopping at the toy bins at the front of the store to check out the trinkets.

Sure, they may ask to get something, but I have consistently exercised parental control and not given into the impulse purchases, so they replace the item and we go on our merry way. Thanks Ben Franklin for providing a great shopping experience. Don’t change a thing!
