The Pacific Sound Chorus brought holiday songs to life at “It’s the Holiday Season,” the group’s concert celebration held on Tuesday at East Shore Unitarian Church in Bellevue.
Under the direction of Susan Kegley, Pacific Sound is made up of nearly 70 women from Redmond and other Eastside cities including Bellevue, Issaquah, Sammamish, Kirkland, Bothell and Woodinville. Members sing a cappella in a four-part harmony and range from ages 20 to 87. Additionally, the chorus welcomed the Lake Washington High School’s Lyrica Choir for its “Holiday Season” performance, directed by Jim Peterson.
Pacific Sound boasts members from throughout the greater Puget Sound area and Eastside communities. The women’s ensemble performs regularly throughout the community, including civic events and charitable functions.
The group accepts new members year round and provides a special introductory offer in January to those wanting to try out their musical theater talents. Musical knowledge is not necessary to join — voice training and music education are a part of every rehearsal. For more information, visit www.pacificsound.org.
