Due to the strong demand for tickets to “Cavalia: A Magical Encounter Between Man and Horse,” organizers have announced an additional week of performances.

The show premiered Jan. 20 under the White Big Top at Marymoor Park at 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy N.E. near Redmond and will now extend its run to Feb. 19.

“Since finally opening, after two days of weather delays, under the White Big Top at Marymoor Park last week, Cavalia has received an overwhelmingly positive response,” said Cavalia founder and artistic director Normand Latourelle “The show is unlike any other, providing viewers with a glimpse into the relationship between humans and horses throughout time. This bond between humans and animals speaks to audience members of all backgrounds and ages and has been embraced with overwhelming support in the greater Seattle area.”

In her review of the show, Misha Berson of the Seattle Times called Cavalia, “An amazing dream…A beguiling spectacle of acrobatic and equestrian prowess, and phantasmagorical optics…It’s as if both the horses and humans are saying, ‘Here is what our species are capable of, at the top of our games. Come along for the ride.'”

Cavalia is an orchestration of multimedia, equestrian and performing arts. Charged with poetry and emotion in a dream-like virtual setting, the show combines acrobatics, dance, aerial artistry and live music with the addition of horses.

Since co-founding Cirque du Soleil, Latourelle has become renowned for his large-scale innovative productions that take spectators to new realms. Cavalia is a tribute to horses and a celebration of the relationship that humans and horses share.

Tickets are on sale now and are priced from $34.50 to $99.50 plus applicable fees. For guests who desire an extraordinary outing, the show can be customized for an extended experience from $129.50 to $189.50, including a Horse Lovers Package that lets patrons tour Cavalia’s stables after the show, and the VIP Rendez-Vous Package, which includes the post-show stable tour, a cocktail/dinner reception and much more. Special pricing is also available for children (2-12), juniors (13-17), and senior citizens (65+).
