Le Rendez-Vous to host crêpes party to celebrate Bastille Day

On Saturday, Le Rendez-Vous at 8918 161st Ave. N.E. in Redmond will celebrate Bastille Day with a crêpes party.

Bastille Day is a French holiday that commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, an act of open rebellion against the monarchy that is considered the flashpoint of the French Revolution.

During the revolution, chefs — who had cooked for the nobility — found themselves out of work. They were forced to open public restaurants and the art of fine dining was born.

Le Rendez-Vous bill offer both savory and sweet crepes, ranging from $4.50 to $6.80.
