Redmond couple robbed at gunpoint

A Redmond couple was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Redmond Police Department officer Julie Beard. The couple parked their vehicle in the 2500 block of 173rd Place Northeast in Redmond and were immediately approached by two suspects armed with handguns.

The victims were held at gunpoint and robbed of cash, jewelry and personal items. One victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The suspects got into a two-tone older model vehicle, possibly a truck with a canopy or SUV, and fled westbound on Northeast 24th Street.

One suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, about 5-foot-11 to 6-foot, thin build and wearing a black shirt and black pants.

The other suspect is described as a black male, about 35 years old, 6-foot-2, thin build and wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
