Vote no on King County Proposition 1 | Letter

King County Proposition No. 1 should be defeated by the voters because the county can find this money from somewhere other than county taxpayers. The county found $5 million to build a wildlife bridge in Redmond so surely they can find sources of money for parks projects. The $5 million being spent for the bridge was justified by the county because between 1996 and 2013, 12 collisions with deer, cougars and coyotes occurred. If the county can find the money to build a $5 million wildlife bridge to save 12 deer, cougars and coyotes in 17 years, then surely they can find the money to pay for parks projects.
