Bear Creek defeated Bush, 4-1, in boys tennis on Oct. 4. Adam Worley won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0; Seth McBride-Caleb Ji won at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, 3-6, 10-7; and Hayden McCraw-Karsten Kohout won at No. 3 doubles, 6-1, 6-0. Bear Creek also won at No. 2 singles by default.

GIRLS SOCCER

Bear Creek defeated Friday Harbor, 3-1, on Oct. 5 behind goals from Sara Hastings, Jill Leszynski and Whitney Isbell.

Hastings scored a hat trick in Bear Creek’s 6-1 victory over Mt. Rainier Lutheran on Oct. 3. Leszynski, Caroline Bridgwater and Hannah Bauermeister also scored for the Grizzlies.

VOLLEYBALL

Bear Creek defeated Auburn Adventist, 25-17, 26-24, 29-27, on Oct. 3. Catherine Fernandez had nine kills and two aces and Gracie Matthews had seven aces for the Grizzlies.

Christian Faith beat Bear Creek, 25-21, 25-5, 25-18, on Oct. 4. Hannah Beighle had three blocks and Holly Ray had three blocks, two kills and one ace for the Grizzlies.
