Affordable Care Act will be subject of free workshop in Redmond

Eastside Human Services Forum (EHSF) will offer a free workshop on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) from 7:30-9 a.m. on Nov. 25 at Redmond City Hall, 15670 N.E. 85th St.

Scott Hacker, small business/agent representative for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, will speak.

This workshop focuses on key provisions that small businesses with 1-50 employees need to know. Information provided will include:

• Background information on the ACA

• How ACA will impact small businesses

• Small Business Health Care Tax Credit

• Small Business Health Options Program

• ACA rollout timeline

Registration is required at http://www.ACA-Biz.eventbrite.com. The EHSF is a collaborative of elected officials, staff and commissioners from cities on the Eastside, and representatives from school districts, health organizations and nonprofit human services agencies. EHSF fosters strong public and private partnerships to assure a stable network of health and human services for the benefit of all East King County residents.
