STEM High students win ‘Best in State’ in Verizon Innovative App Challenge | VIDEO

A group of seven STEM High School students have been named “Best in State” winners in the 2014 Verizon Innovative App Challenge, sponsored by Verizon Foundation and Technology Student Association, for their app “SnapTrash.”
Their app concept earned top points in the state for its creativity, innovative design and application of STEM principles to the development process.
They will now advance to the “Best in Region” phase of judging. The winning teams will be announced Tuesday.
