Published 5:13 pm Monday, June 30, 2014
Feet First, a nonprofit organization working to ensure all communities in Washington are walkable, and the City of Redmond Arts Program invite residents to become neighborhood walking ambassadors. Training sessions will take place from 5:30-8 p.m. on July 8 and from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 19 in downtown Redmond. Location details will be provided upon registration at www.surveymonkey.com/s/redmondnwa.
The free training gives people the know-how to build their favorite walking tour inspired by Redmond’s trails, public art, nature, history and parks.
On Aug. 8, the neighborhood walking ambassador walks will lead to a free community concert along the Sammamish River Trail by Redmond resident Rulon Brown. This performance is presented in partnership with 4Culture Site Specific. For more information, visit www.rulonbrown.com/2014/feetfirstcallforvolunteers/
