Koeppen earns $1,000 Nokomis Scholarship

Kristian Koeppen, a 2014 graduate of Redmond High School is this year’s recipient of the $1,000 Nokomis Scholarship. Koeppen is the son of Cheryl and Andrew Koeppen of Redmond.

Koeppen plans to attend Western Washington University and major in kinesiology.

The Nokomis Scholarship recognizes high academics, community involvement, work experience, extracurricular activities and future goals. Koeppen is lifeguard certified, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certified, has done community service with the Union Gospel Mission, participated in the Exothermic Robotics Club and been a senior camp counselor from 2011 to the present for the Washington State Youth Conservation Camp.
