Friends of Youth (FOY) has welcomed Chris Martin and Jon Morrone to its board of directors.
Both bring a passion for the agency’s work to their new roles.
Martin is the senior director of Seattle-based consulting firm Point B, Inc. Along with his business expertise, Martin brings experience as a long-time volunteer for a variety of youth-related organizations.
Morrone is a senior associate attorney at Seattle-based law firm Williams Kastner. He brings prior board experience, including holding a current position on the board of Washington State Defense Trial Lawyers. In addition, Morrone worked in the state’s attorney general’s office, defending Child Protective Services in a variety of matters. That work gave him a deep understanding of and sympathy for youth in the child welfare system.
“Chris and Jon bring important skills and experience to the board, helping us meet our vision of a world where every youth has every opportunity to succeed,” said FOY President and CEO Terry Pottmeyer.
FOY provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic services for youth, young adults and their families to improve their emotional stability and self-sufficiency. With 63 years of experience, 22 program sites and services in 18 cities, they provide safe places and emotional support for youth facing challenging circumstances. FOY’s vision is that all youth have every opportunity to succeed and their services are designed to fulfill that vision. For more information, visit www.friendsofyouth.org.
