General election results are final

The Secretary of State certified the final results of the general election on Dec. 4.
Over in the Congressional District 1, U.S. representative race, incumbent Suzan DelBene (D) defeated Pedro Celis (R), 55 percent to 45 percent.
45th District
For state senator, incumbent Andy Hill (R) defeated Matt Isenhower (D), 53 percent to 47 percent.
For Position 1, incumbent Roger Goodman (D) defeated Joel Hussey (R), 55 percent to 45 percent.
For Position 2, incumbent Larry Springer (D) defeated Brendan Woodward (R), 57 percent to 43 percent.
48th District
For state senator, Cyrus Habib (D) defeated Michelle Darnell (R), 65 percent to 35 percent.
For Position 1, incumbent Ross Hunter (D) defeated Bill Hirt (R), 70 percent to 30 percent.
For Position 2, Joan McBride (D) defeated Tim Turner (L), 69 percent to 31 percent.
Northeast Electoral District Court
For judge Position 3, Lisa O’Toole defeated Marcus Naylor, 64 percent to 36 percent.
Initiatives
Initiative 594, which concerns background checks for firearm sales and transfers, had 59 percent “yes” votes and 41 percent “no” votes.
Initiative 591, which would prevent the state from expanding background checks beyond the national standard, had 55 percent “no” votes and 45 “yes” votes.
Initiative 1351, a class-size-reduction measure, had 51 percent “yes” votes and 49 percent “no” votes.
