Overlake scores Friday Harbor tourney title | Prep boys basketball

Overlake’s Katon Minhas had seven 3-pointers and a game-high 23 points en route to a 61-52 victory over Friday Harbor in the championship game of Friday Harbor’s inaugural Tip-Off Classic on Dec. 6.

In Overlake’s 58-46 win over Salem (Oregon) at the Friday Harbor tourney on Dec. 5, Rick Chavez had 21 points, followed by Latio Cosmos with 12, Owen Friend with 11 and Charlie Friend with 10.

The Owls also defeated Eastside Prep, 68-21, on Dec. 9.

The Friend siblings tower over the competition with sophomore Owen standing 6-foot-9 and senior Charlie standing 6-foot-7.
