The Alliance of Eastside Agencies (AEA) presented its Awards for Outstanding Service in Human Services earlier this month at Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue. Among the recipients was Redmond-based Microsoft Corp., honored as Business of the Year, thanks to a nomination by Together Center in Redmond.

Jim Stanton, community affairs manager of Microsoft real estate and facilities, accepted the award.

Together Center CEO Pam Mauk noted, “Microsoft has been a partner to Together Center since our founding 25 years ago and continues to support the center yearly, providing needed funds to renovate, repair and sustain our one-stop human services center. In addition, we meet not uncommonly with Jim Stanton to review our current situation and discuss ways that Microsoft volunteers and resources can be used to leverage our own. We feel we have a critical partner in Jim and Microsoft. We know Together Center’s story is just one of many among Eastside agencies, which receive both funds and attention from Microsoft.”

AEA helps build healthy communities in east King County through a strong human services network. Learn more at www.allianceofeastsideagencies.org.
