Tuesday, Aug. 25

Burglaries: Redmond police took two residential-burglary reports at 6:53 p.m. in the 15800 block of Northeast 90th Street and at 5:40 p.m. in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

In the first case, residents believe the back slider door may have been unlocked and there was no sign of forced entry.

In the next case, an apartment back patio door was broken into and electronics and a camera were stolen.

Monday, Aug. 24

Trespassing: Redmond police arrested an individual for trespassing at 9:49 p.m. at a movie theater in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast. The person appeared to be intoxicated and had been previously asked to leave the theater.

Vandalism: Redmond police took a vandalism report at 2:54 p.m. in the 18300 block of Northeast 98th Way. A resident reported a slashed tire on their vehicle.

Sunday, Aug. 23

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 5:54 p.m. at a grocery store in the 17900 block of Redmond Way. With help from a staff member and witnesses, police positively identified and charged one of the suspects.

Burglary: Redmond police took a burglary report at 5:39 p.m. at a business in the 8300 block of 164th Avenue Northeast. The owner reported the theft of tools from an exterior closet and some items from a vehicle, including a battery pack and an air compressor. There was no visible forced entry into the closet and the vehicle was unlocked, with one window down.

Saturday, Aug. 22

Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft of a motor vehicle at 11:22 a.m. in the 10700 block of 158th Court Northeast. Police assisted a Redmond resident, who was informed by Kent police that his car had been stolen from his home in Redmond and recovered in Kent.

Friday, Aug. 21

Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Northeast 83rd Street and 167th Avenue Northeast. The assault allegedly occurred between two males and no weapon was involved. A man who was punched and kicked received medical assistance from fire medics. A suspect was quickly detained and later arrested for the assault. The two men know each other through a mutual resident.

Burglary: Redmond police took a residential-burglary report at 3:22 p.m. in the 6400 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. A family member reported that the burglary occurred sometime while the owners were away. A window was open, but police couldn’t determine the exact method of entry. There was a significant amount of jewelry and cash taken. Neighborhood witnesses provided descriptions of a possible suspect.

Thursday, Aug. 20

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 4:49 p.m. in the 17200 block of Redmond Way. Grocery store staff members provided information on the suspect’s vehicle, which had been reported stolen out of Renton.

Car prowl: Redmond police took a car-prowl report at 3:43 p.m. in the 4800 block of 156th Avenue Northeast. At an apartment complex, a GPS and holder were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Wednesday, Aug. 19

Vandalism: Redmond police took a vandalism report at 8:45 p.m. in the 17000 block of Northeast 115th Way. A resident reported that sometime during the day their cars were vandalized with a permanent marker.

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 1:01 p.m. in the 15000 block of Northeast 36th Street. A business staff member reported the theft of several boxes of Microsoft 2013 software from their store. Police officers worked with security to identify the subject and are investigating.
