New Design Review Board members needed

Residents or design professionals who care about the quality of architecture and landscaping in the City of Redmond can consider applying for a vacant position on the Design Review Board. The city is looking for three new members for its board: two design professionals and one Redmond resident.
Volunteers of the seven-member board review and make recommendations to City Council on site plans, landscape and architectural design and colors and materials for commercial, industrial and multi-family projects.
The board is comprised of five professionals from the fields of architecture, landscape architecture or urban design and two residents who represent the community at large. The current vacant position is for a design professional. If available, applicants can include a resume or summary of background and volunteer experience. All city board and commission appointments are volunteer positions. Candidates do not have to be residents of Redmond. Meetings are mandatory and held on the first and third Thursday evenings of every month.

A copy of the community service application is also available in the mayor’s office on the fourth floor of City Hall.
