Tuesday, Oct. 20
Attempted assault: Redmond police responded to an attempted-assault report at 5:59 p.m. in the 8900 block of 160th Avenue Northeast. A UPS driver was delivering packages and reported being approached by a teenager, who swung a small pocketknife at him then ran off. He contacted his supervisor and 911 was called about 15 minutes after the incident. The driver was not injured.
Assault: Redmond police responded to an assault report at 4:41 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway. A woman reported she was trying to assist an elderly neighbor with dementia who was walking away from her home, when the neighbor struck her in the face.
Monday, Oct. 19
Shoplifting: Redmond police arrested a female for shoplifting at 4:49 p.m. at a beauty supply store in the 17100 block of Redmond Way.
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 10:36 a.m. in the 18600 block of Northeast 56th Court. A homeowner reported vitamins and a watch missing from his residence during a realtor’s open house.
Sunday, Oct. 18
Parking-spot assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 8:59 p.m. in the 17600 block of Redmond Way. Two cab drivers had a dispute about a parking spot, and one driver reported that the other hit him over the head with a metal tire tool, causing minor injuries.
Saturday, Oct. 17
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft of a motor vehicle at 9:27 a.m. in the 5400 block of 156th Drive Northeast. The victim’s vehicle was stolen from in front of his house. It was parked in his driveway at the time of the theft.
DUI: Redmond police pulled over a driver for traveling the wrong way down a one-way street and arrested the driver for DUI at 1:57 a.m. at the intersection of 164th Avenue Northeast and Cleveland Street.
Friday, Oct. 16
Burglary: Redmond police took a burglary report at 9:23 p.m. in the 8500 block of Avondale Road. A homeowner reported that a window had been broken and a laptop and jewelry had been taken.
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 9:17 a.m. in the 3400 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway. Unknown suspect(s) took a purse from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the homeowner’s residence.
Thursday, Oct. 15
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 12:09 p.m. in the 15900 block of Northeast 85th Street. A library patron reported that their backpack was stolen from the building.
ID theft: Redmond police took an identity theft report at 11:54 a.m. at the Redmond Police Department building. A resident, who lives in the 2100 block of 180th Court Northeast, reported that someone had opened several accounts in his name in Los Angeles.
Wednesday, Oct. 14
Found it: Redmond police took a mail-theft report at 4:44 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 34th Street. A resident’s stolen mail was recovered inside a reported stolen vehicle found in Black Diamond.
