Deanna Beglyarova, 18, casts her first general election ballot this morning at Redmond City Hall, which featured a drive-up ballot box and one for walk-ups. Mary Becker, right, of King County Elections was in charge of the walk-up box.

“I’m happy that I can finally vote for what I believe in,” said Beglyarova, a Redmond resident and University of Washington-Bothell student. “My vote matters.”

The ballot boxes are open until 8 p.m. tonight.
