The Redmond Wolves U15 boys soccer squad scored the 2016 State Rec Cup title with a 9-1 victory over Vashon Island on Dec. 10 at the Starfire Sports complex in Tukwila.

Led by captains John Sanchez, Alan Guzman and Matthew Farago, the Wolves capped off a 16-0 season and defeated the Vancouver Cheetahs, 5-2, in the cup semifinals.

The Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association squad also won the District 2 crown.
