LWHS PTSA awards four seniors with Sheeley scholarship

The Lake Washington High School (LWHS) PTSA has announced that Madison Miller, Clara Andrews, Alina Nguyen and Jonathon Chau are this year’s winners of the Sheeley Scholarships.

All recipients are graduating seniors at LWHS and are considered high achievers in academics, school involvement, leadership activities, vocational pursuits, fine arts, athletics and community service. In addition, each recipient was recommended by educators and other members of the community.

Post-high school plans for the seniors include attending college at Montana State University, the University of Montana and the University of Washington. Their future aspirations include aerospace engineering, wildlife management, creative writing and teaching chemistry.

The scholarship is named for Louise Sheeley, a former counselor at the high school, and adjudicated through the LWHS PTSA.
