VALA Eastside has announced artist Angela Flowers will be the 2017 Redmond Arts Festival featured artist.

In her role, Flowers will lead participants in a printmaking project involving Northwest imagery and hand-carved potato stamps.

During the festival, which will run July 7-9, a new work of art will be created. Participants can carve their own potato stamp and add it to unique designs in the project as a new color will be introduced every hour to create a color-changing canvas.

The project is sponsored by The Carter on the Park Apartments.

The festival is free and will be hosted at the Redmond Town Center and will open at noon each day.

The festival will feature more than 70 artist booths, music, alcohol, food trucks as well as the community art project.
