The inaugural Redmond Rain Fest is coming to town Sept. 23. The fest — a partnership between the City of Redmond and the OneRedmond Foundation — will not only welcome in the new season but will welcome new residents, new businesses and the new look and feel of downtown Redmond, according to a city press release.
Rain Fest will take place rain or shine on the first full day of fall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Redmond Central Connector Park.
“This unique event will connect the whole community with downtown Redmond businesses for a day of celebration,” said Mayor John Marchione.
Attendees can discover local businesses with a scavenger hunt, including signature swag for all participants and grand prizes. There will also be a family-friendly Rain Delay 5k, beer garden, kids’ activities, live entertainment and a Welcoming Week World Dance Party.
“OneRedmond is excited to partner with the city and strengthen our community connections,” stated OneRedmond Foundation member John Stilin. “We think this event will prove to be a great addition that will help gather the community for a day of fun and entertainment.”
