The Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce’s (GRCC) 8th Annual Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction on Aug. 22 will feature not only a larger field of entrants, but a larger and more experiential Galleria on the Green for non-golfers.

“This year’s tournament has grown in terms of sponsors, donors and golfers,” said Ryan Baumgartner, chairman of the Golf Tournament Committee and partner at Cashman Consulting & Investments, LLC, “and so has the Galleria on the Green, which has created a newfound interest among the regional businesses that are participating and ultimately benefiting not only themselves, but the chamber and its mission.”

“We currently have 20 vendors signed up, some of whom will be showcasing a variety of unique gifts, jewelry, wine tasting, spa services, and others in various fields,” said Debra Cobain, a sub-committee chair of the chamber’s tournament and owner of Marbella Day Spa & Boutique. “The enthusiasm we generated last year with the ‘Galleria on the Green’ was inspiring considering it was our first year for the event. Now, doubling the amount of vendors as well as interest, our 2nd annual ‘Galleria’ will only be setting a higher standard for next year.”

The venue for the tournament and galleria is once again at The Plateau Club in Sammamish, well known in the Pacific Northwest for its breathtaking views and as one of the region’s most beautiful golf courses.

“The Galleria portion of the Golf Tournament has elevated the exposure and enthusiasm for the participating businesses, for the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce and for the community at large,” Baumgartner added. “As community fundraisers go, these are top-notch events as evidenced by this year’s increased participation.”With a modest admission fee of $10, all money raised at the Galleria event goes directly to the GRCC.

The Galleria’s events begin at 2 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. Also available for $75, visitors may enjoy the Galleria and a spa service before continuing on to the dinner, silent and live auction that will be held in the Plateau Club’s main dining room at 7 p.m.

For $185 per player and $740 per foursome, participants will receive 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, dinner and entry into a series of contests including the longest drive, closest to the pin and putting contests.

The event also includes a $100,000 hole-in-one shootout and a $5,000 putting contest.
