Redmond downs Issaquah, will face Woodinville tonight | 4A Kingco baseball

Redmond High baseball knocked off Issaquah High, 6-1, on Saturday night in the opening round of the 4A Kingco playoffs at Woodinville High.

With a state tournament berth on the line, the Mustangs (14-5 overall) will next face Woodinville at 7 p.m. tonight at Woodinville High.

Against Issaquah, Redmond’s Brandon Burditt tripled on the first pitch of the game and Bryce Steckler drove him in with a single.

Issaquah tied the game in the first, but Redmond tallied five runs in the second inning with hits and RBIs from Burditt, Jacob Brady, Chase Hall, Lucas Eliason, Kyle Francis and Daniel Bees.

Francis earned his first playoff win from the mound and had seven strikeouts.
