The City of Redmond Arts Commission is seeking three to five community partners to build an audience for the inaugural “Redmond Arts Season: TAKE ROOT, BRANCH OUT,” running from December through May 2012.
The deadline to submit applications is Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.
Arts groups that produce, perform or exhibit works of art or provide arts-related programs promoting civic understanding among Redmond’s diverse community are eligible to apply. Eligible arts groups are to submit a letter of intent to the Redmond Arts Commission briefly describing the target audience and project, the group’s past history as a collaborator and interest in the 2012 Redmond arts season.
The city’s centennial year is 2012 and many community-wide events and festivities will celebrate Redmond’s pioneering spirit — past, present and future. TAKE ROOT, BRANCH OUT is conceived to explore the changing dimensions of the pioneering spirit through art and culture.
