Redmond High’s O’Hearn fires a 75 during first round of Class 4A state golf tournament

Redmond High School (RHS) senior Keira O’Hearn sits at sixth place in the Class 4A state golf tournament after Tuesday’s first day of action at MeadowWood Golf Course in Spokane.

O’Hearn was the only RHS girl to advance to today’s final round after firing a 75 in windy conditions. She birdied three of the first five holes on the back nine and shot a 1-under 35 after carding a plus-four 40 on the front nine.

For the RHS boys, the Rudnicki brothers made the cut for today’s final round. Lyle sits at 31st place with an 81 and Oliver is 36th with an 82.

In Class 1A boys action, The Overlake School’s Daniel Lee is 26th with an 83 and advanced to today’s final round at the Home Course in Dupont.In addition,

The Bear Creek School advanced all five of their golfers — three boys and two girls — to today’s final round of the Class 2B state tournament

Morgan Cadigan is currently in fourth place after firing a 98 at Oakbrook Golf and Country Club in Lakewood. Her teammate, Sarah Witt, is 16th with a 112.

Bear Creek boy golfers Ricky Olson (8th place, 85), Colin Diamond (16th, 89) and Jacob Imam (25th, 92) have all made the cut for today’s round at Oakbrook.
