The Evergreen Middle School (EMS) theater program’s performance of “Annie Jr.” will be May 31 and June 1 at the Redmond campus of Timberlake Church at 4505 238th Ave. N.E.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $8 and are available at the door.
The 2013 EMS theater program is sponsored by the EMS PTSA and is produced in association with Youth Theatre Northwest. The play, adapted from the Broadway musical “Annie,” consists of 34 cast and crew members, grades 6-8.
Rachael Armstrong stars as Annie, and Lauren Laudenslager plays the role of Miss Hannigan. Grace Farrel will be portrayed by Paige Krumperman and Oliver Warbucks will be played by Matthew Palik.
The Mercer Island-based Youth Theatre Northwest has been offering theatrical opportunities for students in the region since 1984. The play is directed by Austin Garrison, along with musical director Matt Giles and choreographer Megan Tyrrell.
