To celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) becoming a law, the residential community association of Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, in partnership with the Alliance of People with Disabilities of King County, is presenting the first-ever Roads to Independent Living Expo and Workshops from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
The event will be at the Cascade Club on the Trilogy campus at 23225 N.E. Greens Crossing Rd. on Redmond Ridge.
More than 40 vendors and nonprofits, who provide services and products of assistance to seniors, will be at expo.
In addition, speakers from University of Washington, EvergreenHealth, Bastyr and other local institutions will hold workshops on topics ranging from nutrition to universal design. A total of 18 sessions will be held throughout the day and many donated door prizes will be given away every 30 minutes.
At noon, cake will be served to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the ADA.
