Cadet William Rayl, son of Rick and Julie Rayl of Redmond, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the West Point U.S. military academy.
To earn this distinction, a cadet must maintain a 3.0 grade-point average in all courses. The West Point curriculum offers 37 majors balancing physical sciences and engineering with humanities and social sciences leading to a bachelor of science degree.
Rayl graduated from Redmond High School in 2015 and will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army upon graduation at West Point.
