Last weekend, one lucky street in Redmond got a facelift as artists from around the world descended to chalk and paint it up.

The event featured 14 artists that spent hours working on their creations at 164th Avenue Northeast and 74th Street in the Redmond Town Center for the city’s first Chalk Fest.

The medium has been described as the visual equivalent of busking and originated with 16th century Italian artists.
