Discussing tax bill and extortion | Letter

Extortion is defined as “the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.” Corporations and other moneyed interests have been calling Republican members of Congress and telling them that if the tax bill is not passed, they shouldn’t call their offices. The implied threat is that they’ll refuse to make campaign contributions for the 2018 election. Is that not the definition of extortion?
