Redmond High athletes qualify for 4A state track and field meet

A handful of Redmond High athletes are headed to the 4A state track and field meet this weekend at Mount Tahoma High in Tacoma.

Caleb Hamlin will compete in the triple jump and high jump; Matt Dickinson will tackle the pole vault; and Tierra Wilson, Carson Potter, Amira Douglas and Tessa Fujisaki will run in the 4×200-meter relay. Relay alternates are Lydia Sumner and Claira Young.

At Kingco, Fujisaki broke the school 100-meter dash record with a time of 12.56 seconds, and the 4×100-meter relay squad of Wilson, Potter, Sumner and Fujisaki broke the Mustang record, as well, with a 49.33.
