The family of Jani Sisko will hold a 5K memorial walk/run in her honor from 9 a.m. to noon on June 21 at Grass Lawn Park in Redmond. The event will begin and end at the picnic dome.
The cost to participate in the race is $35, which includes a T-shirt. For those people unable to participate in the event, they can choose the “Virtual Runner” option and donate $25, or any amount they wish, at the registration link: https://endurancecui.active.com/event-reg/select-race?e=8422953
Sisko died on May 9 at the age of 51 of a prescription drug overdose.
“She had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. I will never forget her sense of humor or her infectious laugh,” Jessica Jasper, Sisko’s daughter, wrote in an email to the Reporter.
“My family was inspired to set up a memorial fund in my mom’s name and decided we wanted the proceeds to go to Youth Eastside Services (YES), a social service nonprofit organization serving youth and families in need of mental health and drug and alcohol counseling,” Jasper wrote.
