Redmond synchronized swimmer to make splash for national title

Redmond High School’s Grace Chen is one of 14 members of the Seattle Synchronized Swimming Team that is set to compete for a national title at the 2014 Age Group National Championships June 28-July 5 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
The team qualified for the national championships by placing among the top-three finishers at the 2014 Northwest Regional Championships. The meet features competitions in the 11-12, 13-15, 16-17 and 18-19 age-group categories.
Chen, 14, will compete in the 16-17 age category with teammates Lilly Cao, Irene Gonzalez, Abigail Orler, Shanaya de la Cruz Satterfield and Zoe Strand.
