The Redmond Historical Society (RHS) is having a centennial quilt raffle to celebrate the City of Redmond turning 100 years old in 2012.
Raffle tickets are $2 each and available in the RHS office at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center in room 106. The last chance to buy tickets at an RHS monthly meeting will be on Nov. 12, the last meeting for this year. The RHS doesn’t meet in December and the drawing will be in January 2012.
For those who can’t make it to the Nov. 12 meeting, call Monica in the RHS office at (425) 885-2919.
This is the last chance to help the RHS with this fundraiser. Any funds raised will go towards preparation for Redmond’s Centennial celebrations in 2012, as well as providing heritage displays in public places and in saving historical records.
While much of the work is done by board members and volunteers, the society still needs funds for special projects. For more information about the quilt raffle visit www.redmondhistoricalsociety.org and enter “centennial quilt” in the search area.
