Redmond Historical Society on Oct. 8 to feature current and former Rotary presidents Bozick and Markley

The Redmond Historical Society (RHS) will meet on Oct. 8 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at The Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center at 16600 N.E. 80 St.
Rotary President Steve Bozick and immediate past president David Markley will give a presentation about the Rotary Club of Redmond. They will include a short overview of Rotary International and chronicle many of the key people involved in the formation and progression of its role in Redmond, the region and the world.
They will also present examples of the rotary’s contributions to people, facilities, and programs that have helped make the city a great place to live, work and play, will be presented. Information about its activities, the changes in composition of its membership and expansion within and around Redmond will also be highlighted.
RHS is also still selling tickets for the quilt raffle in honor of Redmond’s Centennial celebration in 2012. Tickets sell for $2 each.
