Redmond firefighters at Station 11 took time out on Monday to remember those who lost their lives during the events that took place on Sept. 11, 2001. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives, which included 343 firefighters and paramedics, 23 New York City police officers and 37 Port Authority officers. Members from the Redmond Fire Department were on the urban search and rescue team that responded and worked on site for weeks looking for survivors.
